i'm so confused by michel's channel direction. here's my total speculation on what's happening.
she doesn't actually like (or care about) food content. at all. she doesn't consume food content creators, she doesn't read cook books, and she's not even in a real culinary program of any kind. her knife skills are atrocious (today's video legit had me flinching lol), her flavor combinations make no sense, and she's constantly taking shortcuts.
i dont think she likes food.
she's just trying to find an angle to make money on youtube, but because of all the stuff i listed above, it comes off TERRIBLE. this felt just like another vlog of hers, same as any other, and people consuming food content are not interested in consuming "coastal lifestyle vlog" content. there's just such a disconnect between what she's actually capable of vs what she wants to put on youtube, and it honestly feels like its coming from a place of inauthenticity AND laziness.
like putting a cutesy graphic with a random "series name" across the front of the video doesn't make it NOT a vlog, michel. damn
